Can a hauppauge hd pvr 1212 record xbox 360 games on a standard definition tv?

I have a standard definition tv and was wondering if it will still record my xbox 360 games. Help.

That’s MW2 recorded off a sdtv with the hauppauge. If you use something like Vegas Pro and know what you are doing you might be able to make it look better. Looks pretty decent, doesn’t have the lines going across the screen when you turn fast like happens sometimes with Dazzle.
