Can Nintendo Wii games be played both physically and non pyhsically?

I am an old school gamer and like to sit and play my computer games. Is it possible to play a game such as Zelda without having to physically make the sword movements ETC?

Zelda: Twilight Princess on the Wii doesn’t require any major movements with the remote. I sat comfortably while playing through the whole game. I know it’s cliché, but it’s all in the wrist.
Some games can be played using a GameCube controller.
I don’t know if that will work for Zelda but it works very well with Dragonball.
