Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 PC connection problems?

I have both an Xbox 360 and a high end gaming PC and I have Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on both systems, however, on Xbox, I get selected as host everytime and always maintain a 4 bar connection. On PC however, I am never selected as host, it takes a long time to find games, and I never have a 4 bar connection. Is there any way I could increase my PC connection as well as keep a high Xbox connection? Can I sacrifice my xbox live connection for a better IW net connection? Please don’t tell me to "Just play on Xbox" or "Play Black Ops instead" I hate Black Ops and I much prefer PC gaming. Any and all helpful tips or suggestions are welcome.

Okay, I just got Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 today, haven’t played it yet, it’s still patiently waiting in the factory seal… I was wondering if I should play it right away or… should I wait until I beat the last 2 games I bought?

The games are Rainbow Six Vegas 1 & 2, and I was also thinking aobut buying COD4 Modern Warfare and beating that before I do Modern Warfare 2… what do you think? I know Modern Warfare 2 is probably better than all 3 of those games, but thats the reason I am worried, I don’t wanna get so addicted to that game and have the other 3 games be a waste… you know?

So yeah my plan was gonna be to beat RS: Vegas, then RS Vegas 2, then buy COD4 and beat that, then play Modern Warfare 2

I have recently bought call of duty modern warfare 2 for the pc
sngleplayer works fine but multiplayer doesnt work at all
when i click on the shortcut or go through steam it crashes, and when try entering through the iwmp.exe file it comes up with "steam must be running" even though i am logged in and it shows a 100% readiness. please help
