Atari and Atari 5200 were popular in the early to mid 80’s. Playstation didn’t come on the scene until the late 90’s. What was ‘the thing’ around 1989 and what were some popular games on that system? Thanks
Video Game Consoles Archives
I am wondering if I should buy the sony psp or wait until something new comes out. Is there any portable video gaming systems coming out within the next two years?
I noticed at the Sprint store that it has an HDMI port. Can you use that to plug media in and play it on the HTC EVO or is it used for something else.’
also, if it is used for something else, don’t you think they should make phones you can plug DVD players and video games into by now? I know they got the technology they’re just being lazy.
For my setup, I have my 32′ Inch Samsung tv connected to my computer as It’s monitor and a couple video game consoles hooked up to It. Unfortunately the sound quality (wether Its music, games, or movies) Is crap and I like to connect them all to the same stereo system for the best quality sound.
My DVD player broke, and I am thinking about getting a Playstation 3 or Nintendo Wii to replace it. What are the advantages/disadvantages to them? Are there other video game systems worth looking into?
Would it be a lot cheaper to just buy a DVD/Blu-ray player?
I don’t care about them playing on it but there’s one thing to play on the game console but it’s another to start a "console war" and have pointless arguments about a video game console (specifically PS3 and XBOX 360). You get what I’m saying?
Grown men, large boys, 6"0 ft. tall 12 year olds whatever you wanna call em.
I owe my little brother a new gaming console, because I am taking our wii with me to college, but I don’t want to get him one that is going to be old news soon.
Are there any speculated release dates for any 8th gen consoles?
He wants a PS3, so I think I’ll get him that (and just take all the wii games with me, ha ha)
But, you don’t think these are gonna be old news? I just want him to have the latest, greatest.
I want to plug in my Playstation 3 and my Nintendo Wii to my Yamaha RX-V2400 receiver at the same time but be able to use high def plugs. Is there a switcher or box where I can plug in multiple AV units into one place?
Plenty of Playstation owners have bought multiple Playstation consoles going back to the launch of the PS1, PS2 and now the PS3 due to failure and the trend seems to be continuing with the PS3 !
The Xbox 360, the Nintendo Wii and the PS3. Which one of them is the hardest to hack and has successfully prevented the illegal copying of its game media and which of them hasn’t?
I am looking for a good way to play my playstation using my PC moniter as the TV.
I have heard that TV tuner cards would work but there is a very noticable lag.
What would be perfect is a way to hook the console (coax or composit video) to the spare RGB input on my moniter.
Anyone know a way to do this? or a better way to put the video to my moniter?
How does the tv know to respond.
I want to get the new 360 slim for 300 bucks, I’m thinking of trading in my old xbox 360 arcade, but I don’t know Is it worth it, just to waste all that money I like video games but I don’t know. I’m 14 and that’s why i’m so money conscience
I’m getting a ps3 for christmas and I’ve been hearing that the next generation of consoles will be coming out in 2010. Is that true? Because I don’t want to get a new console if they are just going to make a new one next year. How long will they be making ps3 games for? Please help!
I have acer 24" lcd monitor. No speaker port only a hdmi port. I want to connect my xbox(original), wii, ps2, gamecube, etc. to it. What type adapter do I need to purchase in order play all my consoles using the monitor.
