How do I play saved Xbox 360 games off of a non-microsoft flash drive?

I play all my games on my girlfriends 360 and now I want to play some of them on mine when Im home. She has an elite though and I have the original 360 so i cant just take the hard drive off. I found out I could use a flash drive to transfer saved data but it wont work on my xbox. Wtf.
