I know the older versions of playstation 3 plays playstation 1 and 2 games as well. That’s what I want for Christmas, you could ask around, but i’m not sure how easy it will be to find.

You can play all previous play station games eg ps1 or ps2 on a ps3 and play ps1 games on a ps2. Simple answer yes u can

Xbox 360 and playstation 3 are made by separate companies, so you can’t play Xbox 360 games on a playstation 3 or vice versa. I think the playstation 3 is better because it is also a blu-ray player (blu rays are basically high definition DVDs). It also has free online play, a better hard drive, and the controllers don’t need batteries.

Xbox is 4 Generations old while Play Station is 5 Generations old. Games for both are dumb. Get an Xbox 360 with Kinect or PS3 with PS move., both are almost the same. No you can’t play PS3 games on Xbox and vice versa. But When games come out, it is most probably that they release for both the consoles.( they have different codings, but the game will be the same)

There are some games which are made for both consoles, like MW3, BF3, etc.
You can only play these games on both consoles!
Difference:
- Xbox has better graphics in third party games.
- Xbox has better designs with that glossy look!
- Xbox has better online so you pay for quality,
- Netflix runs better
- Better controllers

The simple answer is NO.

For PS1 games
You can hack your Wii, install a PS1 emulator (wiisx) than rip your PS1 games, than than convert them to a compatible format, than use the emulator to play them.
