Yes, PlayStation games work on the PlayStation 2.

But, be sure to get them a PS1 memory card. You wouldn’t be able to save anything on the PS2 memory card.

So basically, PS1 games work on every PlayStation game systems, except for the PSP (which is handheld).

You don’t need a PS1 memory card in order to save the game on a PS3, since the PS3 has a hard drive with memory inside it.

yes that will work; the only place PS and PS2 games wont work is in the "cheap" version of PS3.

it will work but u will need to buy a playstation memory card too or else u cant save ps/ps1 game progress on a ps2 mem card.
