Is it possible to play gameboy advance games on a DS for the full size of the screen?

Whenever I play, theres always a border around the game screen so its the size of the gameboy advance screen. Is there a way to stretch it so you can play gameboy advance games on the full size DS screen? Thanks
As I remember the l or r thing was for Gameboy games played on gameboy advance. Not Gameboy Advance games on DS. Gameboy advance games need the l and r buttons for gameplay.
