I just got a Nintendo Wii and I only have the sports game it came with. I dont have enough money to buy alot of games. I am on a plan at hollywood video, so i rent games all the time, but they dont have Wii games. I have all my gamecube games and play those, but i want to play the Wii games. Is the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console Gamepad Compatible with Gamecube Games Played on the Wii?

I just bought some Gamecube games I’ve always wanted to play, but I never had a Gamecube. Now I’ve got a Wii (which is totally awesome by the way) and I know it can play Gamecube games natively, but I tried to hook up my Virtual Console Gamepad to the wii-mote and it doesn’t work worth a poop when trying to load a Gamecube game up.

I’m guessing they’re just not designed to work with eachother? Or am I missing something?

Yes gamecubes are older…but they still sell games on amazon and other websites, and in gamestop…Im too cheap to afford a xbox 360 or wii console and the games.

I know the Wii is supposed to play gamecube games but when I put the games in the Wii it says to use a different controller… I’ve looked for the correct controller but every one I’ve looked at says its not for the gamecube games… help? Thanks!
