will the 8th generation of video game consoles be out soon?
I’m getting a ps3 for christmas and I’ve been hearing that the next generation of consoles will be coming out in 2010. Is that true? Because I don’t want to get a new console if they are just going to make a new one next year. How long will they be making ps3 games for? Please help!

I’ve heard it works the other way around, that playstation 2 games work on playstation 3. But can playstation 3 games play on a playstation 2?
