What are some Playstation 2 games that compare to Super Mario Bros.?

I used to have a Super Nintendo and I loved all the Super Mario Games. Last year I received a Playstation 2 for Christmas and I haven’t really found a lot of games that keep my interest. Of course, I haven’t really had time to play lately. Anyway, I am looking for some games that are the same style as Super Mario Bros except for Playstation 2. Does anyone know of any good games? I also love puzzle games and strategy games.
the only thing for ps2 that even comes close to mario is crash bandicoot and spyro, other than them, no, youll have a very hard time finding one thats even close.
I love Crash Bandicoot!!! They even have like a racing version Kinda like super Mario Cart. Also if you like "journey" kinds of games I also liked Spyro the Dragon.
Three words Get a Wii they have all the mario game you could ever dream of or a DS you cant find anything that compares to Super Mario for PS2
