What Playstation Games Would I Enjoy?

I received a playstation 3 as a gift and I still don’t have any games for it. I love video games but I have always had Nintendo game systems. I’m a 21 year old girl and most of the games I see for the PS3 don’t really appeal to me. I’ve always loved Nintendo with Mario games and stuff like that. Any suggestions about what kind of game I should get for my PS3?
I’m sorry to say, but there doesn’t seem to be much games as of now that fit your criteria of what you’d like. Almost all of the games made for the PS3 have a more mature feel to it and don’t have similar gameplay to Mario, since most games on the PS3 consist of shooters. Sonic ’06 is available, but I hear bad things from it, but don’t let it stop you from trying it out. One of the above answerers suggested Ratchet and Clank, but it’s a sequel to the many other games that were on the PS2.
You can try downloading Playstation Network games such as Blast Factor and PixelJunk (Eden or Monsters). They’re a real blast to play and easily fun to play with anyone else that wants to. The closest thing to a Nintendo game on the Playstation Network is the remake of Bionic Commando, which I’d say is a great game to get.
Since you’re new to this system, try renting some games you think may interest you, and then decide on buying.
little big planet its a game thats a 3d side scroller kinda like mario, but 1000 times better, you get to customize your character, and create and share levels, thats coming out soon, not out yet though
You might like warhawk, its an airplane shooter

Cute, funny, entertaining, and well made. I’m 24 and I loved it.
Dark Cloud 3 comes out in March 2009 which is a zelda-esque sort of game. Piyotama also is a fun, Bubble Bobble like puzzle game I think you’d really enjoy!

I’m not so sure but i think you’ll like some platform games since you like Mario… Go to this link and you’ll find loads of platform games and youll also be able to find all other games for PS3 in pretty much every category.
